Looking Back Toward Sodom

Looking Back Toward Sodom

Claiming to be ‘looking to their Blessed Hope’,

many Christians still have ‘one foot’ stuck in Sodom!

Deny it as they will, I see Christians stubbornly living very secular lives while paying lip service to ‘Being separate’ from this world.

Planning For The Future, Denying The Present

Planning things is a necessary part of life, there is no denying that. Ignoring the present however is a setup for making the wrong plans! End Times story proliferation is increasing at a very fast pace. Keeping up with the sheer volume of stories, even for a long time student of the Prophetic is close to impossible today. Recent events in our country sicken Christians while liberals celebrate evil as something good, even desirable. These stories are too numerous to mention, and are obvious to even the casual observer, so I won’t got into specifics here. This post is not about those stories. Its about our priorities from this point forward.

Count Them on One Hand

How many people have said this to you? “Thank you for warning me. I had no idea that I was heading in the wrong direction. I was blind to ‘End Times’ events. I didn’t see that America was in such terrible trouble, morally! Thank you  for waking me up!”

The ‘one hand count’ is very generous actually . I’d guess that a ‘one hand count’ would be generous even for a life time of warning folks about the times we find ourselves in right now. As one of my Facebook friends pointed out, “The people that need this warning are not here reading these posts!” They are gathered up with ‘Their own kind’ as we are with ours. Warning them is much akin to ‘spitting into the wind. What to do?

Strengthen What Remains

‘Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.
(Rev 3:2 NASB)

If anyone needs ‘Waking Up’, its the church itself! Those who try to ‘wake up the lost are sometimes forgetting to take care of ‘their own house first!’ Yes, its our job to evangelize the lost. We also must heed the rest of what the bible tells us in these very tumultuous times. “Strengthen The Things That Remain!”

Reevaluate Priorities

If an opportunity arises to witness to the lost, I will certainly take it. I’m not saying to ignore evangelism. I’m saying to take care of ourselves, our family, our fellow Christians in these dangerous times. God’s justice will not wait forever. We see that happening all around us. The Moore Oklahoma tornado struck that city during their ‘Homosexual Pride Days’ festival. It struck on the very same day that President Obama declared June to be Homosexual, Transgendered, and LGBT month! Coincidence? No Way!

If this is not God’s judgement, it will do as such until the real thing gets here!

‘The rain falls on the good and with wicked’! We must be expect trouble in an ever increasing frequency of events. The OK tornado is merely one of many more ‘judgements’ to come. I recon these times with WWII; this is 1932 and we are Germany all over again, but this time, there is no place to run to. The bible tells us exactly what the future will hold. There is no ‘Great Revival’ coming. Its a ‘Great Apostasy’! We are told that ‘The love of many will grow cold!’ We are certainly seeing that.

Trying to ‘wake up’ those who have ‘willingly turned away from God’ is futile. Yes, I know some will disagree with me and say some ‘churchy thing’ like ‘as long as there is breath there is hope’! This is exactly what I am addressing here. They completely ignore the obvious! America is suffering the ‘Judgement of God’s abandonment’! Read all about it in Romans 1. These people WILL NOT wake up. They have been ‘given over to do what is evil!

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
(Rom 1:28 NASB)

Jesus warned us to not throw pearls before swine. We must set our priorities to ‘save what remains’!

‘Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come.
(Rev 2:25 NASB)
